CIVIL SOCIETY FACILITY AND MEDIA PROGRAMME 2014-2015
Support to regional thematic networks of Civil Society Organisations

SE Europe Transnational CSO Coalition for Women and Child Protection against Human Trafficking and Gender-based Violence (GBV) - STOP aims in propagating better policies for cessation of both human trafficking and GBV. CSOs from BiH, ALB, SER MKD and KOS will undertake an action to protect rights of migrants, including those currently passing throughout Balkan, coming from Syria, Afghanistan and similar, in transit to reach Western Europe. But, new development in EU related to acceptance of migrants/refugees indicate that some might be stuck in this region, thus increasing number of human trafficking and consequently, abuse of children and women. Having vast experience, knowledge and practice, each partner will, in accordance with project objectives and expected results, create individual plan for developing its national strategy tackling these issues. Through strong regional network and partnerships, project aims to develop and set clear strategy to be a headstone and tool for enhanced civil activism, empowered CSOs and improved dialogue between national authorities and civil society in SEE. 5 IPA countries are facing same problem in human trafficking and GBV– lack of appropriate legal and policy frameworks as necessary prerequisite to combatting those and bring legitimacy to such efforts, need for establishing mechanisms to ensure policy measures are implemented and laws are enforced and requirement of advocacy to achieve these goals, as training targeted to governments, judiciary, police and CSOs.
